Database Configuration

OpenCMS uses PostgreSQL to store your content. Configure your database connection below.

Use "postgres" for Docker, "localhost" for local PostgreSQL

Create Admin Account

Create your administrator account. This will be the primary account for managing your CMS.

You'll use this to log in

Configure your site's identity. This information will be used across your website.

Add your author details for SEO and article attribution. You can update this later.

AI Configuration

OpenCMS uses AI for article writing, SEO, and image generation. Configure your OpenRouter API key to enable these features.

Connect a domain Optional

Point a custom domain here with automatic HTTPS — or skip and use your temporary address for now. You can always connect later in Settings → Domain.

Enter it without www or https:// — e.g. example.com.

Your site is served exactly as entered — HTTPS is terminated by your existing reverse proxy, so there’s no www/apex choice to make here.

To change your domain later, re-run the installer with --domain=your-new-domain.example.com — that regenerates the proxy route for the new domain.
